Mother’s day is like a spider in the shower. By that I mean: it’s a big surprise. I can only speak for myself, but I tend to forget about the whole existence of mother’s day until all of a sudden it’s less than a week away and too late to buy anything online. This year, of course, was no exception. So here we are: six days left, and too late to order online. Luckily, we can still put our winter coats on and go buy something in an actual store. So here are a few ideas.
.♥ Wine. If she has a favorite that you know of, buy that one. If not, go for a strawberry or raspberry flavored one in a fancy bottle. Pictured here are Ultimate provence and Marqués de Cáceres excellens Rosé 2017, both available at Vinmonopolet. Click on their names to read more about them. You can get the pink bow at Glitter for 79,90 NOK.
.♥ Flowers. You can get them basically everywhere. If you, like me, won’t be able to be with your mother on mother’s day, you can buy your flowers at interflora.no and have them delivered to her door.
.♥ Beauty products. Women love beauty products. Even those of us who rarely wear makeup will appreciate a good moisturizer or shower gel. Personally, I love the cleansing water from Garnier. It’s the best makeup remover that money can buy, trust me! You can find both of these gift sets at Europris.
.♥ A personal picture. Got kids or siblings? A camera and printer? Great! That’s all you need. You can get a similar frame at Europris. If you wanna be extra fancy, download the color pop app from app store. It’s free, and lets you keep parts of the picture in color while the rest is black and white. Imagine how cool this picture would look in black and white, with only the text and heart in color!
.♥ Bake something. Surprise your mother with homemade cookies, cupcakes, brownies, waffles – whatever her favorite treat is.
